- 王羲之 (Ohgishi) Wang Xizhi (A.D. 307-365); Calligrapher of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. He artistically perfected the three calligraphic styles of “楷書 (Square style)”, “行書 (Running style)”, “草書 (Cursive style)”, and he is called the “Sage of Calligraphy. His master peice, “蘭亭序 (Preface to Lanting Pavilion)”, is famous, but the original has not survived.
